I’m a bit of an online magpie … I love trying new tools and software.
Now this can be a bit of a time suck as you play around with them, but over the 20 years of working in business and over 10 years running my own Stampin’ Up! business I have tested and tried out a few.
You see I love the efficiency and productivity that using the right tools can offer. By setting up systems and templates, you can save so much time – that’s more time for crafting you know!
So today I am sharing some of my favourite online tools I’ve used in my businesses, and which ones you can use in your Stampin’ Up! business.
Canva
I love Canva for creating all sorts of digital or printable items. This free tool is perfect for creating branded templates for just about anything. I’ve designed logos, social media graphics, flyers, website elements like buttons and sliders to name a few. They also have an excellent paid plan if you’re looking for more advanced design features.
LastPass
LastPass is a password management system that adds an extra layer of security to your accounts. It manages all of your logins and makes recommendations to ensure that your passwords are as strong and unique as they possibly can be therefore improving your online security. As we add ever-growing numbers of logins to our daily lives – this is an absolute game changer.
Dropbox
There are plenty of cloud storage tools out there, but I’ve been a customer of Dropbox for several years. I store 95% of my files on Dropbox, which comforts me knowing that if anything happens to my computer, I have access to my files. I can also access nearly every file I’ve ever created from my phone, tablet or indeed any device I want to.
Evernote
Evernote is another great tool to have in your business’s belt. It’s a tech-enhanced way to record ideas and is great for note-taking. The app allows you to create notes as text, pictures, audio, or web content. Evernote is free to use, but you can upgrade to get a larger amount of uploads.
Google Docs
The Google Docs suite is so more than just an online word processor. It includes Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Google Forms – all perfect for online collaboration, sharing and editing. You can share documents without downloading and renaming every version, and also leave comments and suggestions. What’s more all the Google Docs’s you create or are shared with you, are saved in your Google Drive, which means you can access your files from any computer, phone, or tablet.
Asana
This is my favourite project management system that is going to allow you to organise your entire business. I use it to plan out my classes, blog content, daily tasks and reminders for jobs I need to do weekly or monthly. When used right it can save so much time and help you take control of your to-do list.
Mailerlite
Mailerlite is my favourite email service provider – I’ve used a few, including Mailchimp and Convertkit, and this is hands down the most intuitive and easiest one to use. It has lots of features that are generally only found in the paid for platforms, but you can sign up to Mailerlite on a free plan for up to 1000 subscribers.
Heads up: I use affiliate links for my favourite products. If you click and purchase, I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.
